History of National Photography Day. August 19

The importance of World Photography Day is

•  "to create awareness"
•  "share ideas"  
• "encourage individuals in this Photography field. So the day  allows people to honor the art of photography.

 The origins of the day lie in the invention of the Daguerreotype in1837 , this was a photographic process developed by Frenchmen Lois Daguerre and Joseph Nicephorus Niepce .

Visions Art Exhibition by American Women's Association in Bahrain, Kausar Iqbal exhibited her paintings on silk & acrylic on canvas.

what are the visions of AWA?
 The AWA has been serving the people of Bahrain with its community outreach, charity work, donations & other activities such as Visions, for the last 45 years.

In visions exhibitions, all the artists of AWA members exhibit their artwork & sell the pieces where a certain amount goes to the charities. The artists donate their time &  art for the exhibition. A lot of dedication is required by each participating artist. Mostly its exhibited at the financial harbor" Harbour Gate".

I am proud to be a member of this organization as the proceeds of the Visions Art exhibition will go a long way in supporting the charitable of the AWA.

 Life is the art of drawing without an eraser.Always draw beautiful things when you left this world you will be remembered  by kind words in your community.

Just spent your life with creativity or at least appreciated art.

Today we are sad as artists group because we had loss our friend Lynne Al Wassan. She was always there in our every  art event. She attended all Artea programs of AlAreen Palace & Spa

 her unique style of helping charities & others .

She was a truly inspiration for friends & her staff.

I've been  lucky enough to live in different countries .Each has its own  arty ways to express art. Also allow me appreciate art form in different perspective .Running my own business allow me immense freedom in my work.I am free to decide what my next event will be.

Artea became very popular and this exhibition was extended for a month. People came as group to enjoy friends company and see the beautiful display in the sense lounge of at Grand Alareen Palace.

Kausar Iqbal    Artist Bio

Kausar started off as self-taught and has been involved in arts & crafts for years. In the 1990s she was the team leader in Pakistan for Trichem, an American paint company. Over time, Kausar gained various certifications and obtained training on color theory, which included lessons on mixing, techniques and applications on different surfaces (including canvas, paper and fabric). Subsequently, she held workshops & hosted television programs to encourage people to be creative & learn art. After moving to the US she also exhibited at local galleries.

Kausar’s strengths include silk painting, miniature painting, (Mughal art) and textile printing. Her business focuses on wearables including scarves, ties, tunics and wall hanging decorations.

Now she resides in Bahrain and conducting workshops at art shop Celebrations.

As a professional artist and silk painter, Kausar belongs to several organizations:
